Nostalgic ship runs electrically with Fischer Panda

The charter boat was equipped with a Fischer Panda Pod engine this year.

The electrically powered passenger ship Romandie I built in 1952 is not only the first and quietest nostalgic charter ship in Switzerland, it impresses above all with its excellent driving performance, maximum energy efficiency and fantastic comfort.

Just in time for the old lady's 70th birthday, a 100kW (1200 rpm) POD drive from Fischer Panda was installed.

The highly efficient permanent magnet motor is brushless and sensorless.

The full torque of 800 Nm is available over the entire speed range. This provides the vessel with a powerful and responsive motor for manoeuvring on the river and in the port, even at lower speeds. The engine operation is very quiet and requires no gearbox.

Three seawater-side lip seals make it suitable for commercial use. The winding is enclosed in a potting compound for this purpose.

Both the drive system and the entire gastronomic equipment draw their power from state-of-the-art energy storage systems from IPS Switzerland - clean, safe and with maximum comfort.

With space for up to 40 guests and a design that can be adapted perfectly to the respective needs, as well as the possibility to enjoy culinary delights on the water, the Romandie I team leave nothing to be desired.

The ship can be chartered for weddings, corporate parties, funerals and other events.
